SAN FRANCISCO — March 18, 2002 — CMP Media LLC (NASDAQ:UNEWY) announced today that New Architect magazine, the longest standing publication devoted to the Internet industry, has received four nominations from the Western Publications Associations (WPA) 51st Annual Maggie Awards. New Architect was nominated for the awards as Web Techniques magazine. The magazine changed its name to New Architect with the March 2002 issue.

Demonstrating the depth and breadth of New Architect's talented editorial and design staff, the publication was a Maggie finalist in three categories, with four nominations overall:
